An offensive action against women. Again.
The Worldwide Association of Women Journalists and Writers (AMMPE) condemns the impropriety of Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the president of the European Commission Ursula Von Der Leyen by no offering her a chair on the honour seat dedicated to her colleague, the president of the European Council Charles Michel.
The Association stigmatises the gravity of the action, that was seen as an institutional impropriety against the EU representative, and it was a discriminatory act meaning that President Erdogan underscored his unacceptable position about the gender questions, evidenced with the decision of retreat from the Istanbul convention.
The offense against Ursula Von Der Leyen is an offense against to all the women on the world!
