Nearly 9 thousand attendees and more than 100 activities gathered at the Gabo Festival

Under the slogan #TodosEnLasHistorias, the Gabo Festival aimed to bring together the best storytellers of Ibero-America in a unique meeting space, from which the construction of a collective and creative story that recognizes the rights of others, embraces diversity as an enriching and indispensable principle and takes into account the transformations of the journalistic profession was proposed.

During three days, the festival received close to 9 thousand attendees.

The event is organized every year by the Gabo Foundation, which, inspired by the ideals and work of Gabriel García Márquez, who dedicated his career to narrating reality through different languages - journalism, fiction, film and theater - seeks to promote the power of the art of storytelling to encourage active citizens capable of transforming reality.

This 11th edition offered an agenda of more than 100 activities for audiences of all ages, including workshops, master classes, talks, concerts, live podcast shows and exhibitions with guests from different parts of the world.

The meeting took place between Friday, June 20 and Sunday, July 1, 2023.
