AMMPE partners with Umag to publish a book on Gabriela Mistral

On the road to the World Congress of Women Journalists and Writers to be held next year in Punta Arenas (Chile), AMMPE has partnered with the Universidad de Magallanes (UMAG) to publish a deluxe book with writings by the Nobel Prize in Literature, Gabriela Mistral.

The book will include some of the poems of the Chilean poet and intellectual inspired by Patagonia. This edition will be bilingual and will feature watercolors by the Magellanic artist and corresponding member of the Chilean Academy of Fine Arts, Paola Vezzani. The work team also includes writer and member of the Chilean Academy of Language, Christian Formoso.

The limited edition will be one of the gifts that AMMPE will give to national and foreign authorities attending the international congress and also to those attending the meeting of the association that will take place between Monday 23 and Friday 28 September 2024 in the Region of Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica.

The aforementioned AMMPE World Congress will have Gabriela Mistral as the inspirational figure of the debates and activities of the official program.

Recently, there was a working meeting headed by the president of AMMPE, Elia Simeone, and attended by the sculptor Paola Vezzani, the poet Christian Formoso (the three in the photo above), as well as Beba García Marinkovic, director of International Cooperation of the Umag; and Monserrat Alvarez Meza, coordinator of International Cooperation of the university.
