AMMPE met with El Mercurio's director

A meeting to explore the possibility of the newspaper El Mercurio supporting the Worldwide Association of Women Journalists and Writers in publicizing its next World Congress was held between AMMPE representatives and the director of the Chilean newspaper, Carlos Schaerer.
The president of AMMPE, Elia Simeone, informed about the preparations for the international event to be held in August next year in Punta Arenas, Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica Region. Carlos Schaerer shared his views on how to make this world summit more attractive in terms of communication.
Also present at the meeting were the City Editor of El Mercurio, Javier Piñeiro, the vice-president of AMMPE, Graciela Ibáñez, and the general secretary of the association, Eliana Jiménez.
Carlos Schaerer promised to send a team of journalists to provide special coverage of all the events of the AMMPE World Congress.
