Magallanes Regional Council of Journalists honors the president of AMMPE World
The Magallanes Regional Council of the Chilean Association of Journalists gave an award to the president of the World Association of Women Journalists and Writers (AMMPE), Elia Simeone Ruiz. The distinction was made last Tuesday, July 11 in Punta Arenas, in the framework of the commemoration in Chile of the Journalist's Day.
"The Regional Council of Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica distinguishes Elia Simeone Ruiz for her valuable trajectory in the world of communications, contributing to regional, national and international journalism, with an ethical and responsible view; and particularly making visible the active role of women in society", said Pamela Biott, president of the council.
Along with thanking the award, Elia Simeone invited all her colleagues to support and actively participate in the organization of the next AMMPE World Congress to be held in early August 2024 in Punta Arenas.
