Three outstanding new women writers were panelists during the "New Ibero-American Women Writers" discussion organized by the AMMPE Guatemala chapter. They were Isabel Rodríguez Vila, Yasmín Peralta Montes and Nicté Sierra de Piñol. The speakers addressed different aspects related to the theme of the virtual meeting, which also had the collaboration of the AMMPE Spain and AMMPE Mexico chapters. Carolina González Merlo de Asturias, lawyer and Dean of the School of Communication of the Universidad del Istmo de Guatemala, was the moderator of the meeting.
La abogada y Decana de la Facultad de Comunicación de la Universidad del Istmo de Guatemala, Carolina González Merlo de Asturias, fue la moderadora del encuentro.

Isabel Rodríguez Vila

The first to speak was writer Isabel Rodríguez Vila from Barcelona, Spain. A graduate in nursing, Isabel collaborates in hospitals in developing countries, mainly in India and Chad (Central Africa). She spoke about the positive influence of women in modern literature. The conclusion we got from her interesting talk was that it has been proven that there are "potential women writers" who do not know they are because they have not had the time to sit down and write expressing their thoughts feelings or experiences, as Isabel expressed. She has been a writer since 2012 and the profits from her books are given to hospitals in Chad and to the Banc de Recursos Foundation in Barcelona.
Her published books are:
1. "Goundi, A Different Kind of Vacation".
2. "Discovering the Heart of the Earth.
3. "When we leave, where do we go?
4. "Six Fingers", fiction novel.

Yazmín Peralta Montes

Yazmín Peralta Montes, from Puebla, Mexico, spoke about outstanding women writers who have changed history in the 20th and 21st centuries. She has a degree in Tourism Administration and is a certified professional firefighter. She is a member of the Association of Women Journalists and Writers of Puebla (AMPEP) and the Association of Independent Mexican Writers (A.C.). The conclusions we drew from her interesting talk were that there has been a male belief that "women can only write about the heart", but Yazz told us that what they don't know is that in the heart we have romantic conflicts, feelings of justice, science, politics, fantasies, and other concerns. Likewise, today there are women CEOs of transnational companies, prime ministers, queens, mayors, great writers and poets, among other important positions. Yazz is an Ambassador and Promoter of reading and writing and a contributor to the radio program "Aquí y ahora" (Here and Now). Her collaborations in Mexico City and Spain as a writer and reader have been the following:
Literary Group, "Divinas lectoras de España."
Virtual Academy OBA. Project of great ideas for women. Spain.
Municipal Institute of Art and Culture of Puebla, Mexico.
Independent Mexican Writers A.
Association of Women Journalists and Writers of Puebla. AMPEP.

Yasmín Peralta Montes

Nicté Sierra de Piñol, from Guatemala, spoke on the topic of female entrepreneurship. Among the conclusions of her dissertation, we were able to obtain from various studies that businesses led by women are more profitable and successful in a sustainable way, due to the ability to adapt to different market changes and other business branches, knowing how to take advantage of the various opportunities. Likewise, when women decide to become entrepreneurs, they obtain autonomy and economic freedom, personal fulfillment, the ability to analyze circumstances in order to find solutions to problems and to have a successful work-family relationship. This has been achieved due to greater access to higher education and advances in technology. Nicté has a degree in Business Administration (UFM) and has been working as a Financial Manager in a medium-sized business group for 30 years. She has a specialization in Financial Management from the University of Chicago. Passionate about literature, she has been an inveterate reader since she was a child. She began writing poetry at the age of nine. Throughout her life she has written countless essays, short stories and poems. She has been editor in chief of the student newspaper "La Estrella". Book Club of ENMICASA.COM Magazine, in print and digital format. Weekly columnist for the digital media RELATOGT. Writer of monthly articles for Look Magazine about the female psycho-biological and emotional condition. Editorial contributor to the books Entre Chapinas I and II. Opinion columnist in the section La Cantina and Nuevas Narrativas of the newspaper El Periódico. Her poetry and narrative have been published in the supplement El Acordeón of El Periódico, Plomo Magazine, Códice Magazine of Centro PEN Guatemala, Cultural Supplement of Diario La Hora, the collective Cuentos del Maíz, Fanzine Saliva, Gazeta Magazine and El Maderito, among others.
