AMMPE World Congress to be launched in Antarctica
Antarctica, in particular the Fildes Peninsula, will be the launch next week of the XXV World Congress of the Association of Women Journalists and Writers (AMMPE World).
For this purpose, the world president of AMMPE, Elia Simeone, and the vice-president Graciela Ibáñez, will travel to the Chilean Antarctic territory.
This ceremony will take place at the scientific base of the Chilean Antarctic Institute (Inach), Professor Julio Escudero, and will include words from the world president and a presentation by Dr. César Cárdenas, a marine biologist and researcher at Inach and president of the Scientific Committee of the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources. The expert will speak on Antarctic science in climate change issues and on the relevance of Punta Arenas as a base point for scientific development.
