Dominican Doris Nouel Martínez is the new president of AMMPE World
In the framework of the XXV World Congress of Women Journalists and Writers (AMMPE World 2024), held September 23-27 in Punta Arenas, Chile, more than 147 journalists and writers from around the world gathered to share experiences and discuss the future of communication.
At the end of the meeting, Doris Nouel Martínez, a communicator, diplomat and lawyer from the Dominican Republic, was elected as the new president of the World Association of Women Journalists and Writers (AMMPE World).
Nouel Martinez is also president and editor-in-chief of Vinculos International Magazine. She leads the movement “Mujer, Soy Tu Voz”, the platform from which she launched her candidacy for deputy to the Congress of the Dominican Republic this year.
Doris Nouel is co-host of the morning show Debates of Ideas, channel 77 of Hilando Fino TV.
Her presidency of AMMPE World will extend until 2026 and her main mission will be to organize the XXVI AMMPE World Congress, to be held in the Dominican Republic.
