At Luis Cardoza y Aragón Auditorium of the Cultural Institute of Mexico, located at the Mexican Embassy in Guatemala, AMMPE Guatemalan Chapter, held the act dedicated to Journalist’s Day.
Minister Dolores Repetto, Director of the Cultural Institute of Mexico, greeted the attendees, followed by Dr. Ana María de Eskenasy, President of Guatemalan Chapter, who gave a few words in relation to journalistic work and swore in new members.
The event continued with the presentation of the poetry book «Cálices y Rituales» to its author Carmen Matute, National Literature Prize.
In addition, Ana María de Eskenasy presented the conference: «Life and literature of the Guatemalan writer Enrique Gómez Carrillo».
The event ended with a concert by the Strauss Quartet, who presented classical and contemporary music by Mexican composers. A Wine of Honor was offered.
