World Day of Women of the Americas

On a day like this of 93 years ago, February18th 1928, a group of women coming from lower North, Central and South America approached to La Habana asking to be not only part of the 6th International Conference of American States, but also to write a treaty about equal rights.
Even if the Organisation of American States declared this day as the “Americas’ Woman Day” and a lot of events happened since that date, there is still much to do, considering that in many countries of the continent women have not their rights and they are still suffering discrimination and gender inequality.
